On November 11, 2007, Brown University hosted their annual competition at Moseley's on the Charles in Dedham, MA. UMass Lowell was there in force, and here are the results.
Highlights by Level
Here are some of the highlights from the day. For the full results, see the pdf file linked at the bottom of this page.
Newcomer
Ed and Pam Jahngen (couple 227) made Semi-Finals (5th round) in Rumba and Swing and second round in Tango and Foxtrot out of a newcomer field of over 125 couples.
BJ Sokolowsky and Kat Bancroft (couple 375) made second round in Rumba and Swing, as well as Quarter-Finals (4th round) in Foxtrot.
Bronze
Bryan Tran and Nelly Vladimirsky (couple 391) made it to the second round of the combined Cha Cha/Rumba event.
Justin Chin and Pia Ferrecin (couple 152) made it to the third round of Swing.
Mary Angeleri and Maria DeCicco of WPI (couple 121) made it to the second round in Waltz/Tango as well as in Foxtrot.
Silver
John Fertitta and Amy Lefavour made marks in Cha Cha/Rumba as well as Waltz/Tango.
Mark Sherman and Heather Martin came in 6th place overall in Cha Cha/Rumba and 7th place overall in Swing out of a field of over 33 couples. They also made Quarter-Finals (second round) of Waltz/Tango and Semi-Finals (third round) of Foxtrot.
